Medium: Archival Pigment Photographs on Watercolor Paper (24"x30")
Kalin's crystal and rock collection and their shadows. This series of photographs symbolize, for Kalin, her personal connection to spiritual realms of ritual and ceremony. Each image seeks to capture the aura and essence of the crystals and rocks through shadow, light and color. When working on these pieces I connected with the inherent wisdom these rocks and crystals hold, their characteristics, unique textures and shadows. I worked closely with the energetic properties of each object photographed using Theosophical techniques and meditation in the rendering process.
